Council collects contributions from developers to help fund public infrastructure that benefits the community, including roads, bridges, footpaths, community centres, parks and sportsgrounds.

The Wollongong City-Wide Development Contributions Plan is reviewed annually to reflect updates to Council’s works program and any other required changes.

At its meeting on 25 May 2026, Council resolved to exhibit the Draft Wollongong City-Wide Development Contributions Plan 2026 (the Draft 2026 Plan).

The Draft 2026 Plan is on exhibition from Tuesday 9 June to Monday 20 July 2026 and can be viewed:

  • Online via the Document Library
  • At all Wollongong City Library branches during opening hours
  • At Council’s Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor Administration Building, 41 Burelli Street Wollongong, between 9am and 5pm weekdays

What has been updated?

The Draft 2026 Plan incorporates the allocation of new projects aligned to the Draft Infrastructure Delivery Program 2026-2027 to 2029-2030, as well as minor updates, updated maps and other corrections.
